It's Time for Africa!

Just two more days until we leave, I am so excited! The luggage requirements are super strict so we can only bring a carry-on suitcase (to avoid having to pay crazy high luggage fees). Seeing as we are going to be there for over a month, we will definitely feel (and smell) like seasoned travelers by the end of it all!

Things I am scared for:

• Getting mugged/car hijacked
• Great white sharks
• Anyone seen "Taken"?
• Various poisonous snakes and spiders
• Being in a car for about a month with my family...ok maybe that one isn't so scary

Things I am excited for:

• Getting to go to possibly the most beautiful place on earth!
• Traveling 
• Getting to meet extended family
• The amazing food 
• Learning about the many different cultures and more about South Africa
• Ostrich riding
• Getting to see where my parents and ancestors lived
• Hopefully picking up a little of one of the 11 official languages of RSA
• South Africa!

P.S. I was hoping to keep y'all updated as I was traveling, but recently learned that we will probably not have internet access. Thus, I will probably post everything upon our return to the U.S.

Oh dear. . .

So I am trying to figure out how to format this blog, and have found it to be quite a bit trickier than I had anticipated. Please bear with me and hopefully I will catch on soon!
